Metal sheet panels – key factor
When we talk about low-energy construction, one of the most significant questions is of course the question of the covering material. Are sheet metal roofing systems a viable solution? How and why? Find out below.
Low-energy construction and metal sheet panels (tin roof) go one with another like bread and butter – being that the tin is a major factor of such construction. This fact doesn’t surprise us at all being that most of the heat is exchanged directly across the roof surface, and/or is held onto it. All of these facts clearly point towards excellent thermal isolation of the metal cover, which respectively confirms the role of tin sheets in the low-energy construction.
As we’ve mentioned earlier, thermal isolation is one of the key factors of metal sheet roofing systems, and the reason for that is of course the very way the tin is made and assembled. When the panels of tin covers are made relative to the length of the whole house/building, a so called “air pillow” is made – this explains the space between the sheets and the surface of the roof. Exactly that space, where air is accumulated, is thought to be the ideal insulator being that the air in it is effectively preventing the breakthrough of cold and warm air. If we add the TERMOLine isolation system on top of all of that – the result is the most effective solution for roofing systems.
Sheet metal roofs can be made in various profiles, from trapezoidal metal panels, to sheet metal tiles, and so on, in a dozen of different colors (RALs). Besides all of these advantages, the making of tin is possible of the following: galvanized, aluminium, colored, non-colored, copper tin and so on, however, each profile is made out of one role of metal (tin). Tin in construction is half the job done, after which final montage and shaping is left.
